Aldest Inc. can help you identify the problems linked to the pool or
spa's water quality and offers you solutions to improve it.

Problems

Solutions

High levels of chloramines and trihalomethanes (THM).

Optimization of filtration with procedure of enhanced flocculation/coagulation :

When preventing small impurities and colloidal substances from going through the filter(s), we are also eliminating a precursor of chloramines and trihalomethanes because less organics are desinfected in the basin.

Additionnal oxidation :

The chlorine dioxide produced in the pool water when using our procedure has the advantage of oxidizing organic susbstances without creating chloramines and trihalomethanes (THM).

Bad air quality

Optimization of filtration and additionnal oxidation.

The pool's water quality is closely linked to the air quality surrounding the pool. When improving the water quality by reducing the formation of desinfection by-products, air quality around the pool is also improved.

High turbidity

Optimization of filtration with procedure of enhanced flocculation/coagulation

This insures that even the smallest impurities in suspension in the water are retained by the filter(s) (without blockage or channeling). This procedure lowers the turbidity of the water.

Presence of microorganisms in the water

Optimization of filtration with procedure of enhanced flocculation/coagulation:

Microorganisms are often very small and go through the filtration system. The enhanced flocculation/coagulation procedure makes it possible for those microorganisms to be retained by the filter(s).

Additional oxidation:

The chlorine dioxide produced in the pool water when using our procedure oxidizes even the most resistant microorganisms in a very short lapse of time.

Filter contamination:

Oxidation:

Filters are often contaminated with microorganisms and organic substances. This limits the capacity of filtration and raises the levels of chloramines in the pool water. Our modified formula of chlorine dioxide oxidizes impurities resistant to chlorine, this regenerates the filter media and improves filtration capacity.

Presence of biofilm in the piping :

Additional oxidation:

The chlorine dioxide produced in the pool water with our procedure dislocates bio-film present in the piping to keep a clean filtration system. Even a strong chlorine concentration would not do this task.
